TOPEKA (KSNT) - Sole Reason, a Topeka non-profit, gave kids in the community an opportunity to be on TV. Later this month, Sole Reason and One Can One Kid is hosting Children's Fest. It will include food trucks, live music and more. To prepare, the non-profit shot a commercial at Evergy Plaza to help promote the event. The first 20 kids to make it to the commercial shoot received free shoes. The founder says the most important part is the Topeka community. "It's a big deal to the kids because the kids get to come out here," Founder, Jerry Hudgins said. "You can see them in the true element where they can jump up and down and have fun and see what's actually going on at the event on the 19th, like a preview for what's going on.
