PORTSMOUTH, R.I (WPRI) -- A fire broke out at a funeral home in Portsmouth funeral home on Friday afternoon. According to the Portsmouth Fire Department, crews were called to Conners Funeral Home on West Main Road yesterday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. for a report of fire coming from the building. When they got to the scene, firefighters saw flames coming from the chimney. Several nearby departments were called to help put out the fire.The state and local fire marshal's offices are investigating what caused the fire. No one was injured.
