INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More rain will be possible throughout the weekend. Even thunderstorms later tonight could be on a stronger side with gusty winds and intense rain.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy conditions all day today. We have some rain pus
hing in across parts of southern Indiana this morning. More rain will work into the state later in the afternoon and into the evening hours. High temperatures today will climb right around 60 in Indianapolis.
TONIGHT: Strong thunderstorms will be likely later tonight. A line of showers and thunderstorms will develop and move through between 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 in the morning. The thunderstorms may produce some gusty winds and some intense rain. We are under a level one out of a level 5 severe weather risk in Indianapolis. A level 2 out of a level 5 across parts of southwestern Indiana. The tornado threat is not zero but it is incredibly low. Temperatures fall into the lower 50s.
TOMORROW: Moderate to heavy rain will continue all day on Saturday. We may see upwards of 3 to 6 inches of additional rainfall in central Indiana. Areas south of Indianapolis may see 6 plus inches of rainfall. High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the lower 60s.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Rainfall begins to taper off a little bit for Sunday. Look for mostly cloudy skies if spotty showers will be possible. High temperatures on Sunday will only be into the upper 40s .
Mostly cloudy skies on Monday with a few isolated showers possible. Highs climb to about 50. Dry conditions on Tuesday and are partly cloudy skies but it turns cooler with highs into the upper 40s. Night time lows early next week and into the middle part of the week will be into the upper twenties and lower 30s. Frost conditions could be possible. We do warm back up on Thursday under partly cloudy skies with highs near normal.
