Suspect identified after deadly shootout with Logan County deputies

LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — The Logan County Sheriff's Office has identified the suspect who was killed in a shootout with deputies on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the sheriff's office, 45-year-old Jeremy Dean Barnett was shot and killed by deputies responding to a domestic violence call
near Midwest Blvd and Seward in south Guthrie.
Authorities say Barnett started shooting at deputies after they attempted to speak with a woman at the residence.
Two officers shot in Logan Co. investigation, suspect dead
Two Logan County deputies, Captain Tom Kutay and Deputy Kayoomars Niroomandi, were hit by gunfire during the incident.
A third deputy, Major Greg Randolph, fired back at Barnett, who ran away after being shot. Barnett was found dead a short time later when backup arrived.
Kutay and Niroomandi were treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries. ...read more read less
