Man out on bond accused of seriously injuring North Carolina police officer

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The day after posting bond on a larceny charge, a man was arrested Wednesday in another larceny incident that led to a Raleigh officer being seriously injured, warrants show.
Byron Bradley Perry, 30, of Raleigh, is accused of seriously injuring an officer while fleeing fr
om an arrest. He is also accused of stealing a woman's Android cell phone, according to a warrant filed by the Raleigh Police Department.
Raleigh police's warrant shows Perry is charged with the felony offense of resisting a public officer with serious bodily injury, along with misdemeanor larceny and possessing stolen goods/property.
According to a warrant filed by the Garner Police Department, Perry was arrested the previous day after being accused of attempting to steal calculators from a Target by removing the anti-shoplifting device.
Perry is charged with the felony offenses of larceny removal/destruction/detachment of an anti-shoplifting component and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, in addition to misdemeanor larceny, according to Garner police's warrant.
Court records show Perry posted a $1,500 secured bond the same day he was arrested by Garner police.
According to court records, Perry was not given bond on the new charges filed by Raleigh police. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Wake County Court on these charges Thursday afternoon. ...read more read less
