A woman was found dead inside a burning home in Washington Heights on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters found the 88-year-old woman inside a home that had caught fire in the 9400 block of South Lowe Avenue about 4:30 p.m., Chicago police said. The woman was found unresponsive in the living room with b urns to her body, authorities said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
