BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Fire Monday night damaged an unoccupied house in Bismarck.
According to the Bismarck Fire Department, crews responded to a report of a structure fire March 31 around 10:00 p.m., in the 400 block of North Griffin Street. When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the
front door and windows of the residence.
Firefighters entered the home and, once inside, encountered heavy smoke on the main level. Fire crews located the fire in the basement and quickly worked to extinguish the fire.
Additional fire crews searched the house and confirmed that it was unoccupied.
Once the fire was out, crews searched the house to find and extinguish any smoldering materials.
Fire damage to the house was contained to the basement. There was smoke damage throughout the rest of the building.
No one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
