(KRON) -- San Mateo County health officials have confirmed a case of measles occurred in the county earlier this year. According to officials, there was a single case in February that was related to travel. Officials investigated and traced contacts, determining there were no further cases locally. The San Mateo County Health Department told KRON4.com that it did not make an announcement at the time because its practice is only to announce disease investigations when there is a perceived ongoing threat to public health.
