NEOSHO COUNTY (KSNT) - A 55-year-old woman from Chanute died in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday in Neosho County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), around 8 p.m., the 55-year-old was driving a Nissan Kicks north on Highway 169. Another driver, a 76-year-old man, was driving a GMC Sie
rra south on Highway 169.
According to the KHP, the 55-year-old's vehicle veered into the northbound lane, and the 76-year-old was unable to avoid the crash. The two vehicles hit offset head-on near the center of the road.
The 55-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after the crash. The 76-year-old was reported to have minor injuries and was taken to an area medical center.

The KHP reported that the 76-year-old wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The other crash victim was reported to be wearing their seatbelt.
