A Contra Costa County jury found Kenneth McIsaac guilty in the September 2022 home invasion of a Lafayette family who were held hostage for several hours before they escaped.According to KTVU, 34-year-old Kenneth McIsaac of Lafayette was convicted and faces life in prison for the home invasion of hi s neighbors, a family of four, in September of 2022, whom he held hostage for several hours.McIsaac gained access to the home when he followed the family through their front door as they were returning from the apartment complex pool. He then flashed a gun from under his shirt, which was later determined to be a replica, and said he was there to rob them. The family was bound with duct tape and held captive for five hours. The father eventually broke free and fought off McIsaac until the rest of the family could escape and call for help. SFGate reports that McIsaac was admitted to a mental health facility in August 2023 and escaped that October before being arrested in November of that year.McIsaac was convicted on charges that include kidnapping, child abuse, and robbery.
