Memphis man killed in Crittenden Co. highspeed chase

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Memphis man was killed this weekend in Crittenden County after a police chase on I-55.
Waldenburg Police officers began to pursue the suspect on State Highway 14.
ASP Troopers joined the pursuit after the suspect led officers onto I-55 South near Payneway.
At approximate
ly 7:30 p.m., an Arkansas State Police Trooper performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver to stop a fleeing suspect on I-55 southbound near the 20-mile marker.
According to ASP, the fleeing suspect left the roadway, overturned on a service road and was ejected from the vehicle.

Revail Murphy, 36, was taken to the Medical One Trauma Center in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday evening.
A female passenger of the suspect's vehicle was taken to a West Memphis hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Murphy was wanted in Tennessee for two counts of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Domestic Assault, Evading Arrest, Aggravated Burglary, Robbery, Assault on First Responder and Aggravated Robbery.
