Update as of 5:45 p.m.CCPD were involved in a multi-agency standoff Saturday afternoon, after officers were sent to the St. Thomas More Hospital Emergency Room after reports of someone with a gunshot wound.When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim and found out that the shooting had happened on the 2500 block of E. Main St. According to police, officers went to the residence and set up a perimeter until detectives could obtain a search warrant. Police say they closed the area off to the public "out of an abundance of caution." Once they had a search warrant, SWAT teams tried to contact the person inside, but after several tries, they entered and found that the home was empty. The suspected shooter, Stephen Garrett, is wanted on an active arrest warrant for the following charges: 1st Degree Assault Domestic Violence, Possession of a weapon by a previous offender MenacingOn the CCPD Facebook page, officers said they would continue to be in the area for an extended period to continue their investigations. However, this was an isolated incident and there is "no perceived danger" to residents in the area. Update: CCPD Commander Tim Bell told News5 that the situation is still unfolding. According to him, no one has died, but one person has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
