“If you are not in a safe space for high winds or severe thunderstorms, go stay with someone else tonight,” Beshear said. “If you are staying at home, make sure you have an emergency kit in case you need it throughout the night.”
The governor has activated the Kentucky Emergency Operations Center, and units of the National Guard are on standby and ready to respond if needed.
The Transportation Cabinet and local emergency management teams are also on high alert, working to keep Kentuckians informed and safe, according to the governor.
