TOPEKA (KSNT) - Four people were arrested, after a satanic ritual turned violent at the Kansas statehouse on Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said that Satanic Grotto Leader, Michael Stewart, 42, along with three others were taken into custody. One of those arrested includes a 21-year-old man
who got into a heated fight with Stewart on the first floor rotunda.
Nexstar's Kansas Capitol Bureau got video of Stewart being arrested, after he made his way into the capitol building to recite prayers to Satan, despite warnings from state officials and police. The 21-year-old man attempted to snatch the ritual documents out of Stewart's hands. The fight escalated, with Stewart throwing a punch at the man.
Both Stewart and the man were arrested for disorderly conduct. The Kansas Highway Patrol said the other two people followed Stewart into the statehouse and were arrested for unlawful assembly.
Stewart is no longer in jail as of Friday evening. ...read more read less
