Afghan Kebab House opened on Tuesday near Second St. and Gold Ave. Q&A released on potential changes coming to New Mexico State Fairgrounds Mohammad Ismail and his family said t hey wanted to share their Afghan culture through food. He said it's a place where you can enjoy your favorite staples, but with foods and flavors from Afghanistan. "The ingredients are very similar to what New Mexico uses. I thought we build up around that in terms of meat, rice, and beans, breads. We build the menu around that so people can enjoy a different taste," said Ismail.
