According to a school official who spoke with News 8 at the scene, the Roberto Clemente School No. 8 in the area was on lockout earlier Wednesday; however, that procedure has since been lifted.
Members of News 8 are on the scene and are waiting to learn more information.
Rochester Police also blocked off a portion of Lyell Avenue for a "hold up alarm" following reports that a store employee was being attacked.

According to police, officers responded to Lyell Avenue near Sherman Street around 12:30 p.m. Following an investigation, police said there was an altercation involving edged weapons.
The store clerk in the area suffered what police are calling non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, who police said was a customer, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries that require surgery.
RPD has not confirmed whether the two scenes were related. It's unclear when the scenes will reopen to traffic.
