December 18, 1975 – March 16, 2025Jennifer Carter Hawksworth, known fondly by many as Jenny, was a beacon of love, resilience, strength, and empathy. She was born on December 18, 1975 to Bill and Debbie Carter in Columbus, Ohio. She had a love for ballet at an early age and her mother and sister s
aid she danced not walked into a room. She continued to dance through college and graduated from Denison University with honors. After marrying Ben Hawksworth in 1998, they lived in Ohio, Colorado, and Georgia before finally settling in Park City, Utah, where she spent the last six years of her life.Jenny was a woman of many passions. She had a love for cooking, hosting fabulous gatherings, Christmas time with family, Hallmark murder mysteries and a newfound appreciation for chocolate cake. However, what truly set her apart was her unwavering love for her family.Jenny was a truly happy person. She looked for the good in everyone and made it her life’s mission to raise kind and confident children. Her welcoming smile made her a comforting presence to everyone around her. She is survived by her husband, Ben, and their children, Thomas (and loving girlfriend, Sandy), Emma and Charlie Hawksworth. She also leaves behind her parents, her sister Katie (Rusty) Scott and family and brother Bill (Stina) and family.In the words of Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Jenny’s loving spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
