A New Jersey woman charged earlier this month with abusing two children at her home day care has now been accused of mistreating four additional children she watched in her home — including a 5-month-old who required hospitalization —prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Danielle Ingraham, 36, was in
itially arrested on March 3 and charged with two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty to a child under her care.
She was accused of slapping an infant, who had a bruised eye after being picked up from her Mount Laurel residence, as well as a toddler, both of whom were under her care.
On Wednesday, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Mount Laurel Police Chief Timothy Hudnall said in a joint statement that Ingraham is now facing additional charges related to four other children who were cared for in her home — including a 5-month-old baby who had to be taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries to the infant’s head, eyes and wrist.
Additionally, Ingraham is accused of “shaking a 7-month-old child; injuring the cheek of a 10-month-old child; and causing visible injuries to the face and back of a 13-month-old child,” officials said.
On March 20, prosecutors charged her with four additional counts of endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty.
Ingraham surrendered to authorities and was released following her first appearance in court.
Prosecutors are now preparing the case to present it to a grand jury for a potential indictment, Bradshaw said. ...read more read less
