BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Candidates for the City of St. George mayor and city council appeared on the March 29 ballot.
Winners are in bold.
Mayor candidates
Jim Morgan (Republican): 6,202 votes.
Dustin Yates (Republican) (Incumbent): 1
1,472 votes.
Council seats
At-large council seats:
Shaun Wyche (Democrat): 6,157 votes.
David Dellucci (Republican): 8,848 votes.
Scott Emonet (Republican): 4,097 votes.
William "Bill" Johannessen (Republican): 4,728 votes.
Jim Talbot (Republican): 7,224 votes.
James "Jay" Lindsey and Joel Davis, both Republicans, withdrew.
District 2 council seat:
Incumbent Steve "Chili" Monachello, a Republican, will remain in the District 2 council seat after William "Bill" Brigman, an Independent, withdrew.
District 4 council seat
A four-way race was up for District 4, where incumbent Patricia "Patty" Cook, a Republican, was running to keep her seat. Republican Justin Turner and two Independents, David Madaffari and Shannon Powell, were also running.
Patricia "Patty" Cook (Republican): 1,838 votes.
Justin Turner (Republican): 775 votes.
David Madaffari (Independent): 772 votes.
Shannon Powell (Independent): 705 votes.
