FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Fort Wayne Zoo has been installing its Glo Wild lanterns for the past couple of weeks, and they are now ready for visitors to see the lantern festival this Friday night. WANE 15 was there for their first look into what the lanterns will look like in their best ligh t at night. The event will illuminate the zoo with glowing lantern displays spread all throughout the zoo. The lanterns cover nearly a mile of pathway, containing over 100 lanterns. "Really we're excited to be open again, this is the kick-off to our season," Rick Schuiteman, Fort Wayne Zoo Director said. "Seeing the community come back and enjoy the zoo, enjoy something special and unique."
