MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A new food bank in Madera County will soon open, serving thousands of families. The Madera County Food Bank is celebrating its new 21,700-square-foot warehouse on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The ribbon cutting will signify the completion of the project aimed at expand ing services and meeting the needs of the entire county. "The Madera County Food Bank has been a lifeline for thousands of families in our community," said Madera County Board of Supervisors Chair Leticia Gonzalez. "This new facility is a major step forward and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the food bank's critical mission." The new facility, which sits on a nearly four-acre site, was funded in part by a grant of over half a million dollars from the Madera County's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, according to officials.
