Fire officials investigating NW Oklahoma City apartment fire

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A Northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex was significantly damaged by a fire early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say it’s “suspicious.”
"It's really just getting out of control. It's getting scary,” said Ashley Rader, a tenant.

ws rushed to the complex off of Lyrewood Lane, near Wilshire Boulevard around 1 a.m.

"There were heavy flames visible on scene. We had fire coming through the breezeway and two apartments fully involved,” said Battalion Chief Randy Cornelius, OKCFD. “At this time, we're looking at this being a suspicious fire."
OKCFD confirmed 8 units were damaged. Fortunately, they were all unoccupied.
"At this time, we're looking at about $350k damage to the structure,” said Cornelius.
Rader told KFOR she’s lived at the complex for about three years. She said she’s considering moving.
"It just puts a lot of perspective on, you know, where we live,” said Rader.
A spokesman for the Oklahoma City Fire Department said it may be a few days before the investigation is finished. ...read more read less
