She was in her home when she heard a loud explosion, and her family ran outside to find a black Chevrolet Tahoe had crashed into a bedroom in her home.
“He said, 'I don't know what happened.' He says, you know, he said he said several things," said O'Brien. "'I might have fallen asleep. I might have been on my phone. I think I blacked out.'”
There is a video showing the driver getting out of the passenger side of the car, appearing unharmed following the crash.
"Well, my major concern is that this person still has a driver’s license. And I have a copy of the police report, the crash report. There was no citation given. There was no ticket given," said O'Brien. "There was a field sobriety test given. That was it. I came out and tried to talk to the Olive Branch Police Department, insisting on a toxicology report. They just put their hand up and said ‘Ma’am we have this under control.'"
O’Brien said that she had to pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars to pay for damages.

She sent a letter to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Transportation to have the man responsible for the crash driver’s license revoked for six months after officers told her it was a medical emergency.
"There was no arrest. He's free to drive. I mean, what's being done to assure me that this isn't going to happen to someone else or happen again, maybe not in this neighborhood, maybe somewhere else," said O'Brien.
She said that she was concerned about the safety of her family and other families. She also said that no one was in the room of the crash, but she was still shaken.
