WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A man is in critical condition after a shooting in north Wichita. According to the Wichita Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of N. Hydraulic Ave. just before 10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located a 62-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection to the shooting. "Preliminary investigation indicates that a disturbance occurred between known parties, leading to the shooting. This incident was not a random act of violence. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of what led up to the shooting," WPD said in a news release.
