CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said it has reviewed video evidence that shows key details in the disappearance of 45-year-old Linda DaLomba.
Surveillance footage obtained by Cranston police shows DaLomba walking unattended down Pond Street around 2:42 p.m. on March 19, the
n entering a parked vehicle, where she stayed until she was found Sunday.
DaLomba’s caretaker, Roberta Gerard, told police she left her in the backseat of her car during a visit at a nail salon, which was about 475 feet from the car DaLomba was discovered in, Cranston police said.
According to police, Gerard was at the salon from 12:48 p.m. to 2:32 p.m, then drive home. At 3:58 p.m., Gerard reported DaLomba missing from Burlington Coat Factory after searching the area in her vehicle.
Detectives believe DaLomba got out of Gerard’s car in the nail salon parking lot before walking along Pond Street and entering the parking vehicle.
Police believe nobody else was involved in DaLomba’s disappearance.
Cranston police said DaLomba’s health is improving as she remains in the hospital.
