Update:Officers with CSPD were sent to a call for shots fired near the 300 block of N. Circle Drive at 10:59 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, police reported that someone had fired a gun in the area and then left in a red Dodge S UV.According to CSPD, officers found the SUV at 12:16 p.m., and they said that it was occupied by two people. One of those people was "safely removed from the vehicle," and the other passenger refused to exit the SUV. Police say the man who refused to exit the SUV was the suspect in the shots fired call. Almost two hours later, around 2:10 p.m. police arrested a man for weapons-related charges after a standoff in the area of E Pikes Peak Avenue. Police say that a stolen gun was recovered from the "suspect vehicle," and the man was transported to a local hospital, but no injuries were reported. This is an ongoing investigation, and News5 will release more information as it becomes available. Update as of 2:20 p.m.The shelter-in-place order has been lifted by CSPD.
