WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Kansas Department of Transportation says work on Interstate 70 is getting underway in the northwestern part of the state. KDOT says 12 miles of I-70 in Thomas County will be resurfaced starting Monday, March 31.
The project will include a mill and overlay on east and w
estbound lanes starting near Exit 62 at Mingo and ending at the Logan County line. Traffic through the work zone will be reduced to one lane with a decreased speed limit. Motorists should plan for minor travel delays.

The $9 million project should wrap up by late June.
