WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — McConnell Air Force Base will continue controlled burns on Sunday as part of ongoing fire management efforts, it says. The base safely conducted similar burns last weekend. According to a news release from the base, burn crews on Sunday will target areas south of 47th Str eet and near the West Gate, though weather and wind may change plans. If conditions are unsafe, they will move to a remote location in the southeast part of the base.
