INDIANAPOLIS — A person is in critical condition following a shooting on the near northeast side of Indianapolis. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called around 12:13 p.m. Saturday to the 2500 block of North Sherman Drive on the report of a person shot . When police arrived at the scene, they found a female victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. That female was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, IMPD confirmed. As of this article's publication, IMPD had not confirmed the age of the victim involved in the shooting. Police have not publicly identified any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation. This is a developing story.
