HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Honolulu drivers who use Kapiʻolani Boulevard near the Hawaiʻi Convention Center for their daily commutes are urged to avoid the area as the city will be working on gas line relocation and paving, shutting down lanes until May. Closures are scheduled to begin on March 24, wi th the eastbound right and middle lanes of Kapiʻolani Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Hauʻoli Street being closed for approximately three weeks. Paving work will also occur between McCully Street and Atkinson Drive in both directions until May.
