Where to park for Norfolk Tides games now that casino is under construction
Beginning on March 14, parking Lot E at the Norfolk Amtrak Statio
n starting charging $10 per day. The parking lot contains 121 parking spaces with no alternative parking once filled. Passengers can use the ParkMobile app to view available spaces, make a reservation and submit a payment.
"Due to parking limitations around Harbor Park, Amtrak parking was shifted to Harbor Park Lot E," said Kelly Straub, director of Norfolk Department of Communications and Marketing.
There is also an on site meter available. Those found to not have paid for parking will be fined $50 per day. A shuttle will still run from Lot E and the station.
Passengers are encouraged to use rideshare or taxi service or get dropped off and picked up when traveling to and from Norfolk.
Vehicles parked prior to March 14 will not be charged.
"This parking rate is in line with other Amtrak stations in the Commonwealth, including Richmond and Charlottesville. Parking and directional signage is in place," said Straub. "Traffic flow and parking operations are continuing to be monitored and adjusted."
