JOBE conducts 'controlled explosion' in Northwest El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- JOBE, a supplier of construction materials that also has a couple of quarries, confirmed that a loud explosion that happened on Friday, March 21, in Northwest El Paso, was set off by them in what they are calling a "controlled explosion," El Paso Fire said.

aid a call came in at 10:56 a.m. about a "loud boom," east of Helen of Troy Drive and Resler Drive.

Crews responded to the areas reported where residents heard the loud booms, and they confirmed there was no emergency.
