Governor Beshear provides update on Kentucky flood recovery efforts

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Governor Andy Beshear is providing new figures on the ongoing recovery from February’s devastating flooding across Kentucky.
According to Beshear, the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund has now raised over $880,000 from nearly 4,000 donors to assist impacted fami
lies. Meanwhile, FEMA has approved more than $22 million in assistance for over 3,800 households, with additional applications still being processed.
Currently, 13 disaster relief centers are open across the state to aid those affected. The governor also reported that 255 people are being housed in five state parks, while 77 others are staying in travel trailers.
Additionally, disaster unemployment assistance is now available for residents in 16 counties.
