Semi hauling corn crashes into school bus in Madison County

SUMMITVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A Madison County school bus and a farming semi collided Monday after deputies the truck drove through a stop sign outside Summitville.
There were no students on the bus when the crash occurred.

A farming semi hauling corn was driving southbound on County Road 300 East when they drove through a stop sign at C.R. 1550 N. The semitruck then crashed into a Madison-Grant United School Corporation school bus driving west.
The crash impact sent both vehicles off the roadway, flipping them onto their sides.
The truck driver, identified as Cameron Bair, 19, of Summitville, was taken to a hospital in Anderson before being airlifted to IU Methodist in Indy. The bus driver, 35-year-old Bethany Gibson of Gaston, was treated in Anderson for minor injuries.
Bair was said to be in stable condition as of Tuesday.
