Showers and storms that brought some heavy rain, lightning, and gusty moments to many are exiting the area this morning for most, with some showers, and thunder lingering in our southern communities. More rain and storms look to plague our Saturday, but will not be lasting all day.

his morning have fallen around the 60s with the rain departing. We'll enter a bit of a lull in better rain chances until this afternoon, when our next chance increases.

More chances for showers and storms last through the day, although not as widespread as this morning. More overnight showers and storms will be possible, too. Here, a few gusty, strong storms may develop during these times as well, with more damaging winds being the main threat.
This incoming weather system is really stirring up our winds. Top gusts on Saturday will reach speeds up to 55 mph. Speeds this high are most likely to happen in the afternoon and evening. As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the area. Watch out for downed trees, and perhaps isolated power outages.
These gusty winds, along with occasional sunshine, will boost high temperatures back into the 70s today. It will not last into Sunday as a cold front moves through tonight.
Saturday is the windiest day of the weekend with peak afternoon/evening wind gusts reaching as high as 55 mph.
While Saturday is another warmer than average day, with highs in the low 70s, cold air comes rushing in on Sunday as this stormy weather system departs. Sunday's sunrise temperature will be the highest of the daytime - in the mid-40s - and we'll fall from there during the day. WNW gusts up to 25 mph will add even more of a chill to the air.
Rain showers may return Sunday, occasionally mixing with snow showers, mainly in the morning and early afternoon.
The visit to highs in the 40s will be temporary, as the 50s return on Monday for high temperatures. We even soar into the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of our next rain chance.

Our next weather system moves through Wednesday and Thursday, bringing more chances for rain showers. It will be another windy experience, too.
