BELLEVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - An SUV in Wisconsin crashed into a parked car and two buildings on Friday morning after an elderly driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator pedal.
The Belleville Police Department and Fire Department were sent to a reported vehicle crash in the 100 block of West Main St
reet (State Highway 69/92) around 6:39 a.m. on Friday.

A quick investigation revealed that an SUV was attempting to park when it crashed into a parked car, going over the curb, hitting two buildings. The SUV came to a halt against one of the buildings.
The driver of the struck vehicle, who was inside as it was crashed into, said they hit their head on the steering wheel upon the impact; however, they declined medical response.

The SUV driver, a 91-year-old Belleville resident, was deemed to have mistakenly pressed the accelerator pedal. They have been referred to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to be evaluated for their capacity to drive safely.
