Bajah’s Cat Café back open in Tiverton, looking to secure rescue permit
Mar 13, 2025
TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — After working out an agreement with the Rhode Island SPCA, Bajah’s Cat Café is back open in Tiverton.
The deal with the RISPCA comes after after 18 cats were removed last year from the business because of permitting issues involving adoption.
Owner Amanda Sousa told A
BC6 Thursday that all 18 of those cats have been adopted, and the business is back up and running smoothly.
Sousa said she still plans on opening a rescue in the rear of the building, but is waiting on getting the proper permits through the city.
She will be holding a fundraiser on April 27 at The Eagle to help cover costs associated with the rescue operation.
