Winter storm delays trash pickup: Here's when services will resume

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - After ice and snow covered the Lowcountry, many government agencies halted operations and garbage collection due to icy roadways.
Now that the ice is melting, when will trash pickup resume?
Berkeley County
Berkeley County officials announced Carolina Waste suspended all operations on Friday due to icy conditions.
All bulk and yard pickup will resume on February 3rd.
Crews will double up collection next week for all Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday customers.
Residents are urged to bag any extra waste for crews to collect two weeks' worth of waste during their next scheduled pick-up.
Moncks Corner
Thursday and Friday's trash routes will be collected on Friday, January 24th.
Charleston County
Mt. Pleasant
Trash and garbage collections will be suspended through Friday.
Collection will resume on Monday, January 27.
Trash and bulk collection will be suspended until next week (February 3rd).
Charleston
All city garbage and trash routes will be suspended through Friday.
Collections will resume on Monday.
North Charleston
Trash pickup will resume on Monday, January 27
Dorchester County
Carolina Waste suspended all operations through Friday.
Regular trash collection will resume on Monday, January 27.
The county convenience centers will be closed on Friday and will reopen on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Summerville
All operations are suspended through Friday.
