Bright but chilly; milder air returning this weekend
Jan 24, 2025
Another very cold this morning, as skies are clear and temperatures have plummeted overnight into the single digits. Winds are relatively light, so wind chills will not be a huge factor, while venturing out to begin your day.
This afternoon will be brighter but chillier than Thursday's high of 30°. Expect light, southwest winds at 5-10 mph, with area temperatures reaching the lower 20s, roughly 15° below average for late-January seasonal highs.
The weekend will bring breezier conditions on Saturday, cloudier skies and a few passing flurries. Although a windier day is expected on Saturday, highs should reach the middle 30s...the warmest in a week!
Sunday will bring brighter skies behind a new cold front, but a cooler flow with highs reaching the lower 30s. Nothing too harsh this weekend, considering we are in the dead of winter.
Early next week will bring milder air, as highs should reach the 40s on Tuesday and last on through Friday for most of our area!
