Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Crystal’ brings highflying acrobatics to Fishers
Jan 23, 2025
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — Cirque du Soleil’s high-flying acrobatics are taking over Fishers this winter.
Thursday night is the first show of its production called “Crystal” at Fishers Event Center. Organizers say the show brings the circus arts to the ice for the very first time. They say the five performance blends the art of skating with Cirque du Soleil’s signature acrobatics and aerial feats.
Roberto Larroude, senior publicist for Cirque du Soleil “Crystal,” said, “Well, the show is amazing. It’s about a teenage girl who is going through that phase in her life where she doesn’t get along at home or in school, and she likes to skate. She goes skating on the ice, and the ice breaks. She goes to an upside-down world and imaginary world where she encounters different characters who shows her that her quirks and personality is a good thing, and pushes her into the right direction to evolve, and, not to spoil anything, she comes back and reconnects with her family and friends. It also combines the beauty on the ice with the famous acrobatics of the Cirque du Soleil.”
“Crystal” is also the first Cirque du Soleil production that uses real snow.
The show will through Jan. 26 at Fishers Event Center.
Tickets start at $55 each for Thursday’s show at 7p.m.
