The cold has been easing and temperatures have significantly improved Thursday morning. We are up 20° to 25° warmer than we were yesterday morning. While this is a big difference, we are still rather cold. We are starting our morning with temperatures in the 20s and wind chills in the single digits. A cold front passing today will keep temperatures from rising much this afternoon. Expect high temperatures in the upper 20s. A few flurries and light snow showers are around Thursday morning. We keep these chances around through the afternoon. A light coating of snow is possible in some locations and this could easily lead to slick spots on the roadways. Skies clear tonight and temperatures turn colder behind the front. We drop down to single digits on the thermometer by early Friday with wind chills near 0°. Friday will be cold with temperatures continuing to perform well below average. A winds shift back out of the southwest Friday will lead us into a "warmer" weekend. We finally rise above freezing Saturday afternoon and have daily high temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
