HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Drivers in Honolulu can expect delays starting Monday as the city resumes construction on a busy section of Kapiolani Boulevard. Crews will be reconstructing asphalt, installing new manhole covers and vehicle sensor loops, and re-striping the pavement. Waikīkī street named after Kamehameha’s high councilor Work will be carried out Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During construction hours, there will be no morning or afternoon contraflow, and street parking will be used by crews for their equipment.
