This comes on the heels of President Trump pledging on Monday to launch the largest deportation effort in United States history. Sheriff Terry Wagner says that LSO is involved in several task forces with federal partners and that it will continue to help when needed for immigration enforcement, as along as his agency they are operating under their scope of authority and responsibilities.
Wagner says the Sheriff’s Office has previously helped federal law enforcement with roundup operations, perimeter maintenance and transportation.
