Swiss rail company to put US HQ, more jobs in Winfield

WINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) -- A Swiss company that is a global leader in railroad products has chosen Winfield as the site of its new U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility. Schwihag says it is known for its railroad rail fasteners, turnout solution designs, and advancements in rail technology.
The company has purchased a 30,000-square-foot property at Winfield Industrial Park. The grand opening is tentatively set for sometime in March.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new factory in Winfield, Kansas. This milestone marks a significant step in our commitment to innovation, job creation, and contributing to the local economy,” Marc Raymond, Americas for Schwihag general manager, said in a news release. “With our new facility, we look forward to strengthening our community ties, producing high-quality products, and driving sustainable growth. Together, we’re building a brighter future for the county of Cowley and beyond!"
Land developments around Delano ballpark back on track
Schwihag says it will hire 15 people in the short term and more as the company grows. Jobs include line workers, machine operators and supervisors. The company says it offers competitive salaries. Learn more on the company's career page.
