HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County is collecting handmade Valentine's Day cards for elderly residents for its fifth annual "Spread the Love" event. Schools, churches and faith-based organizations, social groups and county residents are encouraged to create cards for local elder adults that live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. According to Henrico County, it is recommended for cards to include a simple inspirational message to celebrate the beloved Valentine's Day holiday. To be considered for distribution, cards must be received no later than Thursday, Feb. 6. Cards can be dropped off at the following three locations: Henrico Government Center lobby -- 4301 E. Parham Rd. Public Safety Building lobby -- 7721 E. Parham Rd. Eastern Henrico Recreation Center -- 1440 N. Laburnum Ave. In addition, cards can be mailed to: Henrico EngAGE, Attn: Ashlee Giles, P.O.
