LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 22)–This week’s Crime Stoppers report from Lincoln Police takes a look at a couple of cases, one of which involves a trespassing complaint and the other is a stolen vehicle and vandalism.
On November 9, LPD was called out around 11:30pm to the area of 35th and “C” Streets, where a man is seen in a backyard of a home, where he approached the camera and pointed it upwards so it would not record him. LPD forensics technician Becky Keller told Lincoln’s Morning News on KFOR they believe he may be the same man who returned to the same location on December 13, where he was seen messing with a window and then tried to get into the garage.
Keller said the victim’s alarm was activated and the alarm tone on the camera scared the suspect off. He was last seen wearing a black Guess branded hoodie in the second incident.
In the next case, Keller said on December 22, a vehicle pulled up on camera across the street from B&D Auto at 48th and Cornhusker, where a truck was stolen and later used to slam the front door of the U-Pull-It auto salvage north of 70th and Cornhusker. One person jumped out of the truck and tried to strap onto the ATM outside the business, but the strap breaks and they drove off without the machine.

Keller said the truck would later be recovered not too far away with the tow strap still hanging on the back of it. About $8,000 worth of damage was caused at U-Pull-It and the stolen truck had been heavily damaged.
