Ryan Kalkbrenner scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had four block shots, while Jamiya Neal added 14 points, as the surging Creighton men’s basketball team got a 73-49 win at DePaul on Tuesday night. The Bluejays are now 13-6 on the season and 6-2 in BIG EAST play, its best league start since its 2020-21 team that reached the Sweet 16. The Bluejays will return to the court in Omaha on Saturday when it hosts Seton Hall at 12:30 p.m. in the program’s annual Creighton vs. Cancer Pink Out.

Husker Pitcher MConnaughey Receives Pre-Season Baseball Honor
Third-team preseason All-American honors for Nebraska junior pitcher Mason McConnaughey from D1Baseball. McConnaughey is coming off a second-team All-Big Ten campaign, where he went 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA in 17 appearances, including 11 starts in 2024.
Husker Softball Pre-Season Ranked
The Nebraska softball team earned its third preseason ranking of the season on Tuesday, as USA Softball ranked the Huskers No. 16 in its preseason poll. Nebraska is also ranked No. 14 by D1 Softball.
