CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center wants to keep people safe amid this wintry weather. The health care provider is offering these tips: Dress in layers Stay indoors Cover your coughs and sneezes Cover exposed skin Check on your vulnerable neighbors Atrium Health says it does see more patients during cold weather. Kathy Bernard of Atrium says, “We definitely see more patients who do not have access to being warm. In every city, there is a homeless population that could come in. Elderly patients. Things like that.” With ice and snow causing roads to get slick, Atrium Health also recommends being very careful if you are walking or driving.
