NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) -- A house fire in New Haven left a homeowner with "serious" injuries while also injuring three firefighters Tuesday afternoon, according to East Central Fire & EMS. Firefighters investigate a house fire in New Haven Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. Crews were spotted in the 1300 block of Summit Street. Photos submitted to WANE 15 also showed smoke coming from the house. According to a public information officer with East Central Fire & EMS, crews found the homeowner by the back door, and the person was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Three firefighters also suffered "minor" injuries while responding to the fire, according to East Central Fire & EMS. It is unclear what started the fire, but crews are still investigating.
