Homeowner, 3 firefighters injured in New Haven house fire

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) -- A house fire in New Haven left a homeowner with "serious" injuries while also injuring three firefighters Tuesday afternoon, according to East Central Fire & EMS.

Crews were spotted in the 1300 block of Summit Street. Photos submitted to WANE 15 also showed smoke coming from the house.
According to a public information officer with East Central Fire & EMS, crews found the homeowner by the back door, and the person was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Three firefighters also suffered "minor" injuries while responding to the fire, according to East Central Fire & EMS.
It is unclear what started the fire, but crews are still investigating.
