Two alarm fire damages Harvey business

HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — Members of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Company #2 are investigating the cause of a fire at a Harvey business.
On Monday, Jan. 20, firefighters responded to several calls of a structural fire at the corner of Manhattan Boulevard and Elton Court.
Accumulating snow, slick roads across Southeast Louisiana
Firefighters arrived to find the Pho Bang restaurant engulfed in flames. A second alarm was called and they began an aggressive interior attack leading to the request for added manpower from Gretna and Terrytown.

Harvey firefighters reported the flames reached the second floor before being extinguished.
A total of 30 responders took approximately 90 minutes to get the fire under control and two hours for complete extinguishment.

Fire officials noted surrounding businesses sustained smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported.
